2011 Convention Location
After many months of meetings investigating the option of co-locating our next convention with the AMOA and AAMA group, we have come to the conclusion that it is a necessary option to try for the 2011 convention year for the following reasons:
1. Our membership has not been growing which in turn makes it less attractive for our exhibitors to commit to our show.
2. Our exhibitors need more attendees to warrant the costs of exhibiting.
3. It becomes more difficult to book locations for our shows as our membership numbers decline.
4. The show is early March which has been requested by our members.
5. It has become more difficult to guarantee room numbers to the hotel in order to cover our expenses.
6. Our members will have the opportunity to investigate other opportunities to expand and secure their businesses.
7. We are more secure financially co-locating with another association.
8. We share some of the costs by co-locating with another association.
9. Our members would effectively be attending 3 shows in 1 for the same registration cost.
10. Our members will have the opportunity to attend other great seminars.
11. We would still have our own private Friday night gala
We would still have our own private meetings.
12. We would still retain our identity, this is NOT A MERGER.
13. All our exhibitors would be located together centrally within the trade show.
14. Our "NBVA" area would be marked by special signage, unique colored drapes, unique colored carpeting and the possibility of ceiling signage.
15. This is a trial for the 2011 year only
